Otoplasty
Otoplasty is a surgical procedure which aims to treat prominent ears. This can only be improved through surgery. Otoplasty can be carried out at any age since it is not reserved for children.
Conduct of the procedure
Otoplasty is a day surgery carried out under general or local anesthesia. It takes about 1 hour and a half. An incision is made behind the ear to reshape the cartilage in order to give the ear a more aesthetic appearance. This incision is usually very well hidden.
Recovery Period
A large dressing is applied to the head. It is removed during the control visit. Contact sports must be avoided for one month after the surgery in order to prevent ear deformities.
